11/11/2023 0 Comments Magic malodyI still might get Sunshine Islands since they fixed a lot of the things I disliked about IoH (I HATE the ones where you use the stylus to move your character, and the rucksack in that one was awkward, too), but mostly I'm looking forward to Animal Parade. Same with IoH, it reminded me a lot of Magical Melody, and I really wanted to like that one, too, since the DS games, as much as I enjoyed them, recycled the GameCube characters. I was really disappointed that it wasn't more fun. Magical Melody was only my third Harvest Moon game after the two Wonderful Life ones for the GameCube, and I really wanted to like it because it was cute and there were so many people to get to know (especially the ten marriage candidates for each gender). Even after I got all of the upgrades, it still only had-what, fifteen slots? I was constantly running for a shipping bin! The tiny rucksack, the amount of time and energy it took to do anything, the tiny rucksack, the too-short days, the tiny rucksack, the way you took out all of your lumber if you touched the woodpile and then couldn't put it back, the tiny rucksack, the lack of shipping bins, and especially that tiny rucksack, particularly since you couldn't stack things. My main complaints with Magical Melody weren't glitches, it was the gameplay. Kind of reminds me of an evil little leprechaun, or something. I also heard Jamie wasn't marriageable but to me, that's not so much a problem as a benefit. The only complaint I've heard is that the female main character is gone, and that may not be a glitch, it most likely was intentional or Natsume would have fixed it, and according to the little blurb on the Ushi front page, they didn't. I had heard that, too, but no one seems to have specifics, even people who've played it. I didn't like that about the ToT controls, and I found it too easy to do things I didn't want to because I wiggled the remote at just the wrong time! I think it might be worthwhile to wait until other people have it and see if it's any better or worse.Īlthough if the only thing that changed is the ability to use Wii controls, I'm definitely not getting it. I wonder if it's a limited-time thing? We all know how good Rising Star is at taking Natsume's North American releases and messing them up, which makes me wonder if it works in reverse, too-if the NA release of the European version might be even worse than the European one. $30 for a brand-new Wii game isn't a bad price, although $30 for an inferior version of a game I already own is foolishness. That and Island of Happiness for the DS are my least favorites in the series, but I thought if they had made some sort of big improvements in the Wii version to make up for the fact that you have to play as a boy, I might consider buying it. Once the spell book is finished, you must visit the event page again to give it to My Melody by clicking on it, which will then roll the gacha and give you one random event item and some event stickers. Were there any major glitches in the GameCube version? I don't remember any, but I didn't play it much, so I might have just missed them. The amount of coins it costs to finish the spell book depends on the spell book type and the amount of time left before it would naturally finish. If you don't want to wait for the spell book to finish, you can tap "Finish Now" to spend coins and finish the spell book immediately. Sorcerer' Wands is used to make your spell book finish faster by subtracting 15 minutes from its wait time. Occasionally, you may find Sorcerer's Wand instead of spell books. When completed, will roll for only Rare & Super Rare items in the event gacha. During Fever Time, it's easier to find Olde Magic Spells! When the gauge reaches MAX, Fever Time starts. The fever gauge, located on the left-hand side of the event screen, fills partially with every spell book given to My Melody. Fills the fever gauge more than Beginner Spells would. When completed, will roll for any item in the event gacha. Spell book preparations differ in length depending on the spell book type. Clicking "Deliver Spell Book" will give the book to My Melody to prepare. You can have up to 4 spell books in your inventory at once. Opening the Event page (found by clicking the Event icon visible on the left side of the screen when you are in your own, or another user's, room) shows you your spell book inventory. While watering or harvesting fruit, you might find spell books.
